The house and dojo of the Owari Yagy\u016b family, which had been located at Nishiki, Naka Ward, Nagoya City since the time of old Owari Domain, were burned down during the Second World War. The 20th headmaster, Yagy\u016b Toshinaga established the Yagy\u016bkai in 1955 and restarted full activity of the school.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The headmaster also teaches directly to overseas Yagy\u016bkai members in the USA and Hong Kong once a year.
The Yagy\u016bkai intends to preserve and pass down orthodox Shinkage Ry\u016b and support the headmaster’s activities in administering the Yagy\u016bkai in accordance with the Yagy\u016bkai Members Code. The Yagy\u016bkai created this website with the hope that it will provide a better understanding of the school.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
